New Norville Lens Catalogues

Norville once again provide UK Optics with two new lens catalogues that as always will be hugely respected by the profession as a great lens knowledge resource.

For many years the optical professions have turned to the Norville Lens Catalogue as a first choice knowledge reference like a Doctor turning the pages of the Mimms Glossary.

It is a measure of the determination of the Norville leadership and staff that such a comprehensive reference tool is provided and regularly updated. With the release of their 2009/10 Lens Catalogue and Price List announced this week, Frank Norville commented “The style again follows our traditional pattern concise yet comprehensive.  This year comprising a record 108 pages with over 499 lens entries including a remarkable 70+ entries of “new” lenses not featured in the previous edition.  Truly a magnificent effort by the Norville team and proof if needed that manufacturing optics is alive and well.”

Also released this month is the 2009 Norville stock Finished lens catalogue

Many are available with tintable hardcoat and smaller diameter options.  Clarity HMAR coated range has been expanded to include FR 1.56 and Trivex lens materials whilst also including resin options from 1.50 to 1.74 index, many now up to 3.00 cyl as standard. 

Of particular interest to devotees of thin lenses is Norvilles extensive offering of 60mm diameter stock lenses, including Clarity HMAR coating up to 1.60 index.  The 50mm Trivex really is an “out of this world” lens.  All NLS products are first quality, with flatter base curves as standard.
