Brulimar Announces Exclusive Lee Cooper Eyewear Licence Extension
The UK’s largest eyewear designer and manufacturer, Brulimar Optical Group, has announced the extension of its exclusive licence to manufacture and distribute the iconic Lee Cooper range for men, women and children for the UK and European markets until 2017.
Launched in 2009, the collection is now among the most popular adult and kids ranges on the market with the jean and lifestyle brand’s wearable, classic styles proving enduring best-sellers. Its recently introduced kids’ sunglasses range was one of the first designer brands on the market to offer sophisticated adult models in smaller sizes.
Brulimar’s managing director, Howard Librae, says: “Lee Cooper is one of the most exciting and dynamic fashion brands of its time, enjoying fierce international demand. The collection has expanded incredibly since its launch nearly four years ago and has consistently been at the forefront of design trends, and we expect this to continue over the coming years.”
Fitting for Lee Cooper’s street wear origins, the range traditionally boasts straighter, tension-fit temples and rubberised coatings. Sculpted curves feature heavily and create a streamlined new eye shape, while more angular shapes in some of the men’s frames serve to retain a more traditional and masculine silhouette. Colours are predominantly classic dark brown, gun metal, blue and matt black with the option of warm and feminine pink and lilac in a selection of the women’s styles.
Steeped in over 100 years of history, Lee Cooper epitomises distinctive British fashion with its authentic character and designs. The fashion industry’s longest-standing British denim brand, Lee Cooper enjoys a high profile in Western Europe fuelled by its winning collaborations with some of the world’s most respected designers and celebrities.
