New practice hold great store in new Apple technology

September 2011

First impressions count when it comes to targeting a young professionals market.  That’s why Dr Tracey Sahraie turned to Optisoft practice management software installed on stylish Apple Mac computers and an iPad, when she opened her second practice in Aberdeen.
Dr Tracey Sahraie opened Ythan Opticians in the rural town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire in 2007.  Her second practice, Optiko, is located in the upmarket Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen.  She said: “We invested in Optisoft practice management software in our first practice and have been impressed with its functionality and ease of use, so had no hesitation in installing it into the new practice.  I love the look of Apple Macs and they suit the modern style of the practice and was thrilled that Optisoft is suitable for Macs and PCs.
“The email and SMS text messaging module is particularly effective for communicating with our younger target audience and is an environmentally friendly alternative to posting recall letters.
“It’s also a real benefit that the Optisoft software is compatible with the other technology in the practice such as the Topcon Fundus and Slitlamp cameras – so everything is integrated, easy to use and enhances our modern, professional image.”
Keith Sheers, managing director at Optisoft, said: “It was clear that Dr Sahraie was keen to position her new practice as the most modern and up-to-date practice in town, whilst retaining a system that is user friendly and reliable.  We’re delighted that Optisoft has delivered on every level.”
